Before committing to an all-white kitchen, you should ask yourself some important questions:
Now that you’ve debated the issue and are ready to proceed let’s examine some worthy white kitchen features.
As we discussed in a previous blog, reclaimed elements add character. White kitchen cabinets anchored by a red brick paver floor, dark stained hardwood, or embellished with antique drawer pulls create an eclectic look.
Incorporate other neutral tones with wood pieces. Adding a butcher block top to an island or an antique buffet as your sideboard softens hard white lines.
Consider a marble or granite countertop or glass tiles as a backsplash. These slight white variations break up the monotony and add character.
Mixing different types of metals adds immediate interest. Brass, stainless steel, and wrought iron are great for mixed metal motifs.
Taking on a kitchen remodel can be a daunting task. Wait, did we just say color? Yes,’ white kitchens’ can include color. Gray base cabinets or islands help ground upper white or glass front cabinetry. Colorful tile backsplashes also create a fun mood.
