Remodel of the Basement Main Area
Before we began, we talked to the homeowners about their overarching vision for the basement — theyspecifically wanted to turn this space into a stylish and contemporary area to relax, entertain, and enjoy theirfree time. First, we removed a 6’ patio door and installed a load bearing beam to replace it with a 12’ four-panelpatio door, and installed beautiful hardwood floors throughout.
Of course, our work within the main area of the basement wasn’t finished. Because the homeowners werehoping for a reliable go-to for recreation and relaxation, we built a workout room with a sauna, so thehomeowners could get their exercise in and unwind — just as if they were at a luxurious gym.
Master Suite
What better place for a spectacular master suite than a trendy, spacious basement? Situated away from the rest of the home, the homeowners loved the idea of having their personal oasis tucked into this space. After reframing the master bedroom, we moved on to the bathroom and installed a large, curbless walk-in shower with two recessed shelf niches, a beautiful tiled ceiling, and a luxurious soaking tub with tiled splash (including a “waterfall” deco) to the ceiling. No more spending money to get pampered at the spa... in this master bathroom, every day is spa-day.

The Little Details
When it comes to any remodeling project, our team believes that the details deserve just as much attention asthe big changes. In the main entertainment hub with the bar, couches, and flat screen TV, we knew that the“little” touches would make every moment in this space even more enjoyable.
In terms of the interior doors, we used a combination of two-panel Poplar doors for the swing doors, andfive-panel A5 Poplar doors for the pocket doors. For the bar’s cabinetry, we installed Knotty Alder 2-stepflat-panel doors with soft-close hinges and drawers, 3” cove molding, and floating shelves above the sink. Wealso included a drawer dishwasher. For the bar’s granite, we used Santa Cecilia 3CM.
