Country Creek Builders adds another amazing master bathroom transformation to its gallery of completed projects. This Apple Valley couple knew the time had come to remodel their master bathroom due to its age and lack of true design. Builder grade fixtures, tile, and counter tops filled the current bathroom; it desperately needed an update. Upon visiting The Tile Shop in Burnsville they quickly realized they needed a contractor to help with selections and design. Meeting with several contractors that could not provide design or selection services, they felt overwhelmed with the idea of updating their master bath on their own. Finding Country Creek Builders on Angie’s List and contacting us set the wheels in motion. After talking with us and learning that we provide design services and selection assistance, they took a deep breath and finally got excited about a new master bath.
The design process began by taking digital measurements of the existing space. Preparing and presenting two completely different designs helped the Stewarts to select which option worked best for their needs. Each design demonstrates a ‘doll house’ view of their new bathroom with detailed cabinet drawings, tile concepts and electrical plan. After approving the final design, we assisted the Stewarts with selections of cabinets, (paint color, door style, hardware), counter top and tile.
This Apple Valley master bathroom remodel included removing a space wasting corner tub. We also removed the existing fiberglass shower kit and outdated oak vanity, and pulled up the vinyl flooring. A large shower with a bench was extremely important to the Stewart Family, so the shower design incorporates a 12” deep sitting bench. This also made the new shower twice as big as the fiberglass shower we removed.Tile selections for this bathroom transformation include a Leyre Gris 8” X 24” wall tile with a Claros Silver Camano Stria deco tile. Adding the accent tile brings a warm earth tone to the shower walls. A light grey Penny Round tile completes the shower floor.The new bathroom design includes a 96” long custom vanity (by Designed Cabinets in Lakeville, MN), with a countertop storage tower and two matching mirror frames. The vanity is painted Pearly White (by Sherwin Williams) and finished with Brushed Nickel hardware. The center drawer stack is bumped out 2” from the sink base cabinets to give the vanity a unique and stylish look.
